The Aerial View in Motion with Bull.Miletic

The recent surge of aerial imaging technologies such as satellites and drones has prompted scholarly discussions of what has emerged as a new visual paradigm. Approaching this subject from the perspective of contemporary art, the two artists of Bull.Miletic bring into question the entangled histories of the moving image and spatial expression, while addressing the imaginative and emotional capacities increasingly colonized by remote sensing aerial imaging technologies.

Bull.Miletic are visual artists Synne T. Bull and Dragan Miletic, who have been working together since 2000. Currently, Bull is a PhD research fellow in the Department for Media and Communication at the University of Oslo, and Miletic is an artistic research fellow at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology. They both earned MFA degrees in new genres from the San Francisco Art Institute; Bull also holds an MA in art history from the University of Oslo.
