"A tasteful oasis. . . Babette's rustic, seasonal, locally sourced menu is perfectly suited for a major Berkeley institution"—East Bay Express
Proprietors Joan Ellis and Patrick Hooker have over twenty years experience cooking, baking, and catering in the Bay Area. Their cafe, on BAMPFA's second floor, offers monthly changing breakfast and lunch menus as well as scrumptious housemade pastries and French press, pour-over, and espresso coffee drinks from Verve, Catahoula, and Ritual Roasters. With a menu that changes monthly, Babette is the perfect place to compliment your cinema or gallery experience with a sweet treat, savory bite, or relaxing glass of beer or wine.
“Our goal with Babette is to provide a warm and welcoming space where museum and theater visitors, students and teachers, neighbors and friends can gather to enjoy delicious food and drink, share ideas, and build upon this vibrant community.”
