Communal Land Care with TERREMOTO and Test Plot

Landscape architecture design studio TERREMOTO and nonprofit Test Plot talk about their approach to radical communal land care that cultivates beauty and biodiversity, while providing a framework for how to live on Earth spiritually with all forms of life. This presentation explores the belief that ecological and climate crises require a repairing of kinship with our lands, a return to the commons and to care.

TERREMOTO is a landscape architecture design studio with offices in Berkeley and Los Angeles. It is the firms goal to build gardens not for this civilization but for the next and to destroy the system with love and kindness.

Test Plot is a nonprofit that supports and builds experimental restoration gardens that are responsive to site, community, and resources on degraded land. Its mission is to build a land ethic based on cultural care and ecological stewardship.
