Director Afolabi Olalekan and writer Blessing Uzzi crafted one of 2024’s most acclaimed Nigerian films, telling an intense and powerful story of a disparate group of people facing economic pressure while seeking to improve their living conditions amidst a corrupt and oppressive city. The lives of nine individuals living in Lagos are intertwined after software developers release a new rideshare app, which soon attracts the attention of corrupt police officers and developers looking not to uplift a community, but to merely profit from it.
