Maren Hassinger uses a variety of fibrous and wire ropes in ways that evoke humans, animals, and the environment. Responding to Hassinger’s repetition of rope-like materials and forms throughout her art, experiment with cutting and knotting various types of rope and twine arranged into patterns of your own design. Dedicate your composition to the plants and animals you love, positioning them as guardians to protect the world.
