Granulating Watercolors with Berkeley Painting Club

Ages 7 and up

Explore granulating watercolors with artist Rene Smith of Berkeley Painting Club. Granulating watercolors are specially formulated with pigments that separate into different colors and textures when mixed with water. Make a painting and watch the magic happen. No experience required.

Rene Smith is the founder of Berkeley Painting Club, an art studio in Strawberry Creek Park that offers art classes in drawing, painting, animation, and comics for children in grades 5–12 and adults. Smith has an MFA in painting from Tyler School of Art and has taught at universities in New York, Thailand, and Rome. She recently had a solo show of her pastels at Et Al Gallery, San Francisco.
