My Blueberry Nights
Norah Jones, Jude Law, Rachel Weisz, Natalie Portman,
Singer Norah Jones headlines Wong’s English-language debut, which tracks a heartbroken singer as she embarks on a road trip across America and the other lost souls—Jude Law, Rachel Weisz, and Natalie Portman among them—she encounters along the way. The film is somewhat atypical for Wong, not only in taking place in the United States, but also in spanning an entire country rather than one city. Part of a long line of films about America by international directors, My Blueberry Nights may have a different location and language than other Wong films, but its landscape of heartbreak and yearning remains the same.
