Readings from local writers Barbara Jane Reyes, the Manila-born winner of a James Laughlin award and author of Invocation to Daughters; Ingrid Rojas Contreras, originally from Bogotá, book columnist for KQED and author of Fruit of the Drunken Tree; Maw Shein Win, first poet laureate of El Cerrito, former artist in residence at the Headlands Center for the Arts, and author of Invisible Gifts, Poems; and Vanessa Hua, a San Francisco Chronicle columnist, California Book Award nominee, and author of the novel A River of Stars.

The evening will be hosted by Audrey T. Williams, a multi-ractial, multi-cultural storyteller, writer, and poet based in Oakland who performs and podcasts creative nonfiction narratives.
