Led by Peiting C. Li, Instructor of Chinese Calligraphy at the UC Berkeley Art Studio, this workshop introduces the fundamental techniques, materials, and aesthetics of Chinese calligraphy, focusing on the unique qualities that allow it to simultaneously represent the concrete and express the abstract. No knowledge of Chinese language is necessary.
