Cinderella Times Four

Admission $1.50
Recommended for ages 4 and older. The classic version of this fairy tale is presented with delicate silhouette puppets in Cinderella, by Lotte Reiniger (1922, 10 mins); in the Story of Cinderella (NFBC, 1958, 7 mins), children use their own drawings and retell the story with a modern twist; Swing Shift Cinderella (1945, 7 mins) is Tex Avery's irreverent updating of the fairytale complete with a Cinderella as nightclub singer and grandmother on a motorbike; Three Wishes for Cinderella (Czech, 46 mins) presents a vigorous live-action version of our heroine. This Cinderella - like Garbo in Queen Christina - first meets her prince when she is out hunting, disguised as a boy.
