Enemy of Women

"Originally known under the somewhat unwieldy title of 'The Secret Life and Lives of Dr. Paul Josef Goebbels,' this was an independently-made exploitation film picked up for Monogram release. The relatively brief appearance of some of the star names suggests that not only the title, but also the footage, was trimmed down to manageable double-bill length. Although it doesn't offer any major insights into the fall of the Third Reich, it does touch on Goebbels' involvement with the German film industry. Obviously an inexpensive production, it manages to look far more costly than it could have been thanks to Alton's photography." William K. Everson
