White Christmas

Recommended for age 7 and older. "The Best Things Happen While You're Dancing," goes the song and that's especially true in White Christmas, where the dancing is by Danny Kaye and Vera Ellen, the crooning by Bing Crosby and Rosemary Clooney, the words and music by Irving Berlin. Set in a ski lodge in New England, this is a follow-up to Holiday Inn (1942)-where Bing Crosby immortalized his dream of a white Christmas-with a slim but fun plot about ex-Army buddies Kaye and Crosby teaming with a singing sister act to bolster the popularity of a winter resort run by their dear old commanding officer, Dean Jagger.
