Recommended for age 5 and older. In this imaginative animated musical fantasy, the Beatles use their music to save Pepperland from an invasion of the Blue Meanies. The style is a kind of pop-Art Nouveau, making inventive use of conventional animation and live film footage of the Beatles themselves, and playing with color in a most delightful way. There is as much to hear as there is to see-in addition to a Beatles soundtrack, the dialogue is a wonderland of puns and plays on words.
