The first of a series of videotapes which attempt to de-reify the existing reality of our inter-personal relationships by clarifying the derivative nature of our personal melodramas. It focuses on a young couple in crisis. Due to a tragic illness, the young woman is unable to fulfill her “social fantasies.” In desperation, she chooses to die rather than give up her personal melodrama. Her lover, motivated by deep concern, must come to terms with the illusionistic nature of his romantic reality.
