Free Climb: The Northwest Face of Half Dome, narrated by Robert Redford and directed by Bob Godfrey - two Boulder climbers, Jim Erickson and Art Higbee, attempt to climb the 2200-foot vertical face of Yosemite's Half Dome, using ropes for protection, but not for aid; Break On Through, a visually spectacular film of a short but severe climb of the Naked Edge in Eldorado Canyon, Colorado, directed by Robert Carmichael; Sea-Cliff Climbing, a stunning film of Henry Barber, one of the world's best rock climbers, climbing without ropes the sea-cliff routes of North Wales and Cornwall, directed by Scott Ransom; Everest Unmasked, documenting last year's first ascent of Everest without oxygen aid, by two Austrians, directed for Welsh TV by Leo Dickenson and Eric Jones with additional high-altitude footage by Reinhold Messner.
