Bezhin Meadow and Time in the Sun

Bezhin Meadow
Bezhin Meadow exists today only in this photo-montage outline, made up of stills imaginatively edited together in an almost animated manner. Eisenstein began the production in 1935, but after a series of illnesses and conflicts with officials, the project was halted. Reportedly, Eisenstein finished a rough cut, but this and all the rushes were destroyed during World War II.
