Blue Collar

Screenwriter and critic Paul Schrader made his directorial debut in 1968 with this lively amalgam of comedy, thriller and political exposé. Blue Collar is about life on the inside of a Detroit auto plant, and three workers who try to find a way out. Richard Pryor, Harvey Keitel and Yaphet Kotto star as the alienated trio who set out to rob their own union and find, in addition to cash, ample grounds for a lucrative blackmail scheme.
