Bringing up Baby

The orderly life of a staid paleontologist (Cary Grant) is upset by a very wealthy, very confusing and confused young lady (Katherine Hepburn). Rapid-fire dialogue, zany story, wacky characterizations plus the Hawks fun kind of direction make this one of the most convulsively funny screwball comedies of the thirties. Features the song, “I Can't Give You Anything But Love, Baby.”

“The American movies' closest equivalent to Restoration Comedy. This is Hepburn's best comedy.”
