Carrington V.C. (U.S. Title: Court Martial)

Rather like The Winslow Boy translated into British Army terms, absorbing both on its own personal level, and as an abstract study of justice. One might also consider it a kind of unofficial sequel (though it wasn't intended as such) to David Niven's wartime classic The Way Ahead (PFA 1/88), with Niven, despite being a wartime hero, faced with court martial over a petty offense in which he was technically blameless. Superbly acted. William K. Everson
