Celebrating Canyon Cinema

“After nearly twenty years of service to independent filmmakers from around the world, Canyon Cinema continues to distribute one of the broadest and most exciting groups of personal films available today. Tonight's program is one of two (the other is at The Cinematheque, 800 Chestnut St., SF, Thursday, Dec. 1, 8:00 p.m.), celebrating the publication of Canyon Cinema's new Catalogue Supplement. Each program contains different films which were made during the last three years and are included in this Supplement. The selection was made by Michael Rudnick, representing Canyon Cinema, and Steve Anker, Director of The Cinematheque. There will also be a free Open Screening sponsored by Films Arts Foundation at the No Nothing Cinema (30 Berry St., SF), on Saturday, Dec. 3, 3:00 p.m., in which all filmmakers listed in the Catalogue Supplement whose work wasn't included in either show are invited to participate.” Steve Anker
Film notes reprinted from the Canyon Cinema's Catalogue Supplement will be distributed at the PFA screening.
