China 9, Liberty 37

The director of such Acid Oaters as The Shooting and Ride in the Whirlwind samples the spicy red concoction of Spaghetti for his latter-day Western. Fab Fabio Testi is Clayton Drumm, a gunfighter saved from the noose just as the rope tightens. Naturally, he's happy to bump off a recalcitrant rancher for his would-be saviors, a cartel of railroad magnates. Clayton's quarry is none other than rougher-than-rawhide Warren Oates, in his last Western. The two gunslingers buddy up and then train their sights on the railroading moguls and their freight car full of hired thugs. Look for Hellman's mentor Sam Peckinpah in a two-bit role as a dime novelist.
