Conversation: Carl Worth

Gallery B

This spring's Conversation presented by the Art Practice Alumni Group features artist and curator Carl Worth discussing Anselm Kiefer's monumental painting Die Sieben Himmelspaläste (2002), which is on extended loan at BAM/PFA from Art Berliner.

Carl Worth received his B.A. and M.A. from UC Berkeley's art practice department. He was founding director and curator of the Berkeley Art Center from 1967 to 1979, and curator for the Walnut Creek Civic Arts Gallery from 1979 to 1991. Sixteen years ago, Worth returned to painting, moving from figural art to highly colored, hard-edged work that deals with interior spaces.

Please note: Peter Selz, who was originally scheduled to participate in this event as announced in Art & Film Notes, is unable to attend.
