The Crater Lake Monster

Styrofoam dinosaur gobbles lakeside bumpkins! When a steamy meteor hits a placid mountain lake, a dormant pleisoraus egg is roused from its rusty repose. The seedy serpent then goes about gobbling fishermen, hikers, and anyone lucky enough to be in this doozy of a dino flick. A couple of yahoo boat concessionaires, a touring magician with a fake British accent, an inept backwoods sheriff, and some archaeologists who find prehistoric cave art obviously rendered just last week make up the main cast of castaways. In one romantic interlude, two smoochers adrift on a boat say, "Look at all the stars. I've never seen so many." Of course, it's daylight out. But the rubberized relic, long in neck and clay-like girth, is the real star. The Crater Lake Monster features "Fantamation" by the same crew that brought us TV's Poppin Fresh, the Swiss Miss, and Mrs. Butterworth.
