Crisis
Herbert Kline, an American producer/director for Frontier Film, enlisted the aid of local filmmakers Alexander Hackenschmied and Hans Burger to make this remarkable expos?of the rising Nazi threat by documenting the political crisis as it occurred in Czechoslovakia. (The film also includes agitprop performances by Voskovec and Werich.) Crisis premiered in New York two days before the remainder of Czechoslovakia was occupied by Hitler's Germany. Hackenschmied and Burger narrowly escaped to the Unite States.
