DARK SIDE OF THE HEART 2

We first met Oliverio (Darío Grandinetti), the bohemian poet, in Dark Side 1. Ten years later he is still the penniless writer looking for that elusive fantasy woman who can “fly.” Now, in addition to Death, he also fears Time and its effects: impotence, loneliness. Oliverio finds a circus aerialist, Alejandra, who writes poems on her body. They discover that, if love is a tightrope, it is also the net. Subiela has created a profound cinematic expression of Freud's Eros/Thanatos principle. Why, in love, is insanity sane? he asks. Can love detain Time and Death?
