Devil Bat's Daughter
Devil Bat's Daughter
"In the original The Devil Bat there was no doubt whatsoever about Bela Lugosi's mischief-making. In this 5-years--later sequel, hoping that moviegoers had short memories, PRC suggest that the original mad doctor was actually kindly and misunderstood. His daughter is apparently being driven insane by his influence from beyond the grave--but it soon becomes apparent that we are in Gaslight rather than Dracula territory. This was Wisbar's nod to the Val Lewton school, and for PRC it's an unusually polished little picture." William K. Everson
