Father Gringo (Papa Gringo):
The streets of Bogota, Colombia are inhabited by nearly 5,000 children between the ages of six and sixteen who have abandoned their homes because of extreme poverty and child abuse. The film documents an American business executive who has given up his privileged position and gone to live in Bogota to help these "gamines" survive in the streets. The children affectionately have named him "Papa Gringo." Exit Art Program Notes
