The Fearless Vampire Killers, or Pardon Me, But Your Teeth Are In My Neck

Roman Polanski's stylish Dracula spoof plays off the decadence of the 18th century European aristocracy, with its vampirific counts and ladies, and, well, simply horrifying taste in decor. The farce revolves around a nutty professor (Jack MacGowran) who, with his assistant-moron Polanski, sets out to rid Slovonia of its cursed vampires. These include a velvety gay vampire and a Jewish vampire who is immune to the rays of the cross. Andrew Sarris calls Fearless Vampire Killers “a thesis comedy composed in the spirit of Polanski's student short features.... Something droll for everyone.”
