The Flesh Eaters

Nowadays this would be called "Five Actors, an Island, and Death." In the midst of a storm, a seaplane, piloted by the square-jawed Grant Murdock, crash lands on a small island. The passengers are stumble-drunk actress Laura Winters and her puny, abused secretary Jan. The three plane wreckees quickly meet the island's one inhabitant, a crazed marine biologist with, yes, a German accent. It seems this murky mariner with unspecified Nazi affiliations has been generating a signal that mutates aquatic creatures into flesh-loving criminals. When a skeleton washes ashore, the proof is in the puddle. To keep the plot perky, the flesh eaters keep changing shape à la Aliens. In the beginning they're just little meat-eating motes, created by scratching the film; later, they turn into quasi-crabs with big bubbly bodies. They don't have that on Survivor!
