As the only child of a single, strict, and neurotic mother, it's obvious what she's running from, but not so clear what she should be running toward. Caught up in the new, wild energy of teendom, Jack's rebellion takes many forms until she ultimately slams headlong into the difficulties of adulthood while struggling to prepare for the biggest test of her athletic ability.
