Its plastic integration of these and other elements (like newspaper headlines and graffiti) is combined with Paul Eluard's lyrical commentary (a mixture of poetry and prose) and Guy Bernard's evocative score into a stylistic unity suggestive of Resnais' later Hiroshima mon amour."
