This tour offers the chance to hear from students who organized the exhibition  together with Senior Curator for Asian Art Julia White and postdoctoral fellow Yi Yi Mon Kyo, as they discuss the fascinating visual and literary expression of the cataclysmic end of the Ming dynasty.

The students, who participated in the UC Berkeley seminar Seventeenth-Century Nanjing: Painting, Theater, Memoir taught by Professor Sophie Volpp, conceptualized and organized the exhibition, translated seals and inscriptions, and wrote essays for the exhibition guide.
