He Makes Me Feel Like Dancin'

Recommended for age 8 and older. Jacques d'Amboise, a principal dancer with the New York City Ballet, has created an institute which gives a unique dance experience to children of all ethnic and class backgrounds in the New York City area. Fifty of his young dancers performed at the 1984 Academy Awards ceremony when this film won the award for Best Documentary Feature. It vividly captures d'Amboise's energy and the determination and enthusiasm of the children themselves as they discover how well they can perform. Preceded by two shorts with dance and mime, Matrioska and The Concert.
