Hunted Men and Thirteen Hours by Air
Hunted Men
“The most elusive of all those expert crime/FBI melodramas that Paramount turned out in the 1930s, Hunted Men has certain elements of film noir, and in addition is something of a forerunner of films like Wyler's The Desperate Hours (with Bogart). Decidedly offbeat, with a strong cast headed by Lloyd Nolan and Mary Carlisle....” (William K. Everson). Nolan portrays a gangland murderer who cajoles his way into the home of a suburban family and with his pistol convinces them to protect him. A young son who wants to be a G-man when he grows up adds grim humor and suspense to the story.
