If I Had a Million (Lubitsch section) and Trouble in Paradise

If I Had a Million (Lubitsch section)
Under the production supervision of Ernst Lubitsch, seven directors created seven variations on a theme. “The Lubitsch sequence, set in America in the early thirties, was written by himself and starred Charles Laughton. With one character, three words and a sound effect (a ‘razzberry'), Lubitsch achieved not only the shortest but the most hilarious episode of the seven. This razz had to be reshot for England into something less ‘obscene.' Although the directors of the sequences were not individually identified, everyone guessed correctly which was Lubitsch's.” -- Herman G. Weinbeg, "The Lubitsch Touch"
