"The famous musical comedy (later remade by Anna Neagle) doesn't let the fact that it can't talk or sing stand in the way of it being a delightful comedy vehicle for Colleen Moore. Because of its inherent prestige, it is perhaps a bigger production than it needs to be, with a fashion show (in Technicolor, though the color values have faded in this print) as a spectacular highlight, but it is the traditional Moore comedy set-pieces and some funny ethnic humor that makes the film the pleasure that it still is."
