It's A Gift

We are always asking Bill Everson to come out from New York with prints of rare or neglected films, forgetting that Everson has devoted a great deal of time and energy to the study of the careers of performers as popular as W.C.Fields and Laurel & Hardy. Everson's book “The Art Of W.C. Fields” is the definitive appreciation of Fields-on-film, and his enthusiasm for It's A Gift - his favorite Fields - is as unflagging as his passion for Alf's Button Afloat or End Of The Trail (both versions) or other fairly obscure titles. Aside from It's A Gift - an unrelenting and hilarious expose of small-town America - Everson will present one or two rare Fields items.
