It's Happening Tomorrow

Daniele Luchetti's The Yes-Man was a hit of the 1992 San Francisco International Film Festival. It's Happening Tomorrow had a similar reception in 1989. "Debutant helmer Daniele Luchetti and his patron Nanni Moretti hit paydirt in (this) captivating neo-Western comedy. Simplicity and originality are the key ingredients in this offbeat film, tracing the Jules Verne-type adventures of two Italian cowboys in the last century." (Deborah Young, Variety) "It's Happening Tomorrow is a fable from the Maremma region of Tuscany and a philosophical Western. I tried, in my first film, to find an as-yet-unseen setting for Italian cinema, an original story and, in some cases, new actors; but above all a new spirit....The film is meant to be a eulogy to ingenuity, to optimism, and to those who have plunged into the future with the desire to discover." (D. Luchetti)
