This is Puccini, Italian comedy style--a robust sendup of the great opera which nevertheless follows the plot faithfully in a beautifully recreated setting. The final line, as Tosca prepares to take the plunge off the castle parapet, is one of the funnier kickers in cinema--and will not be revealed here.
