THE LIVING FOREST
Recommended for ages 7+. One of Spain's top-ten box-office successes in 2001, this colorful computer-animated feature carries a potent message about humans' impact on nature. In the forests of Galicia, the trees can talk but make every effort to keep it secret from humans. They're all abuzz when a telephone pole is installed in their grove, but are unaware of its purpose. When the wealthy residents of a country manor cause trouble for the forest inhabitants, it's up to Furi the mole-with the help of some mischievous mice and a clever cat-to save the day.
