Lucretia Lombard

"A gloriously uninhibited romantic triangle of the old school...in which all the problems are solved by spectacular physical means, including a bursting dam and a red-tinted forest fire sequence. Jack Conway, its director, was never much for subtle emotions - he did his best work with the big MGM action films like Too Hot to Handle and Boom Town - but subtlety isn't what this film needed. When it was released exhibitors were given the choice of using an alternate title, "Flaming Passions," which fits it beautifully." --W.K. Everson
Irene Rich plays the title role, a beautiful woman trapped in a loveless marriage to a wealthy old man whose idea of stimulation is sleeping powders and aspirin. She becomes involved with a district attorney, who comes in handy when she is accused of the old man's murder.
