This New Jersey and New York-filmed opus (written by Edmund Goulding and Carey Wilson) interestingly predates and re-arranges deMille. Ancient Rome gets visions of a debauched New York in 1920 and decides to mend its ways! Spectacle is implied rather than shown, but it's a neat and imaginative little film from a classy independent company (Jans Pictures Inc.). --WKE
