Veronique Peck is the wife of the late Gregory Peck. Sid Ganis, former president of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, and Nancy Hult Ganis are producers of numerous films, including Akeelah and the Bee and Big Daddy.

One of the key influences on the AMC series Mad Men, this finely tuned Gregory Peck drama was one of the first postwar Hollywood dramas to expose the emptiness of seemingly successful white-collar lives. A former GI whose wartime exploits (and romances) in Italy pale in comparison to his current life spent schlepping from his Connecticut home to his Madison Avenue offices, copywriter Tom Rath (Peck) finally gets a shot at the big time, but at the possible expense of his family life. “He possesses the humble, stolid valor that one associates with Gregory Peck, who-by a most fortunate coincidence-is present to play the role,” noted the New York Times in its 1956 review
