The Master Race

A dramatic attempt to warn of the dangers to follow the military defeat of Nazism when the ideas of the “master race” would continue to be spread surreptitiously, The Master Race is the work of the progressive writer-director Herbert Biberman, who later made Salt of the Earth. Specifically, the film describes the almost successful attempt of a German colonel posing as a Belgian patriot to instill confusion, distrust, and hate in a small Belgian town.
