A daring reconstruction in mime, music and dance of Shakespeare's play by Celestino Coronado, a Spanish director working in London. Amid the fantastic costumes and special effects the players of the Lindsay Kemp Company carry on, sometimes in unabashed nudity and often with dubious sexuality (Titania is played by a man dubbed with the voice of a woman). This spirited cinematic adventure is possibly not for Shakespeare purists, although as British critic Derek Malcolm writes, "Coronado's Dream is...pure magic. And that is surely what Shakespeare's play is really about."
