Recommended for ages 12+. Thanks to local filmmakers and UC students Matt Broersma and Shari Rubin, audiences are taken on a rare behind-the-scenes tour of the animation world and the people who inhabit it. Hunched over their often tedious work in dark corners of the studio for hours on end, these tireless "mole people" create remarkable works of art from such fundamental materials as ink, paint, and clay. Broersma and Rubin will both be on hand as will several "stars" of their video: local animators will bring their own work to show and discuss, including Timothy Hittle and his Academy Award-nominated Canhead.
