On a summer day in 1989, Leonard Loktev, a Russian émigré, was struck by a car and left in a near-coma. Eight years after the accident, his daughter Julia Loktev has found the courage to make this moving documentary drawing us into her family whose lives were irrevocably changed. Julia and her mother Larisa, Leonard's primary caretaker, discuss difficult questions with few answers, and expose their pain as they interact with a father and husband who is not the man they once knew.
