Never Let Me Go
Never Let Me Go focuses, as Variety noted in 1953, “on the problem of Soviet brides.” Sheer entertainment, with Clark Gable as the American reporter who weds Russian ballerina Gene Tierney and is forced to leave her behind when his Cold War antics make him persona non grata in Moscow. He embarks on an escape plan involving considerable risk (tackling Molotov himself) and making for some exciting escape action toward the film's end. Attractive ballet sequences and a good script directed by Delmer Daves.
