Although there is nothing about this earliest-extant feature by Gregory La Cava to suggest the talent that was later to flower in his thirties dramas and screwball comedies, this vehicle for Charles "Chic" Sale (from an Irvin S. Cobb story) is a thoroughly pleasing slice of minor Americana.
