No Lies
: "No Lies presents an interesting alternative to traditional narratives about rape, and, as well, cinematically posits some very important critical questions, not only about the often aggressive and exploitative methods of direct cinema, but also about the audience's relationship with all the films it sees. And finally, as an intellectual experience accessible to persons of both sexes, No Lies deserves praise from those who see film as a powerful social force. Using unethical methods, sneaky tactics, and a brilliant idea, it fulfills, after all, a civic responsibility." (Vivian C. Sobchack, New Challenges for Documentary, Alan Rosenthal, ed.)
